Pivoting, Paddling, Portaging

With the forceful influence of a global pandemic, we have run through a million possibilities, probabilities, and contingencies.

We have wilderness watery plans until October, then we will reassess and see what parts of the world will welcome us. Canada is a beautiful country and has so much to explore, this may be where we stay.

Finally, the day is here where we will be beside Ontario’s beautiful bodies of water everyday for the foreseeable future.

Day 1: Our Matrix is packed to its maximum capacity and then some. Our boat, Tiger Rose, is tightly tied on top and we are heading North. Without fail, southern Ontario is treating us to some traffic jams at various points. The jams give me a sense of escaping a field of cars for rocks and trees.

We are taking a few days to drive up to Thunder Bay and start our first canoe trip of the year in Quetico Provincial Park. Ben and I are excited to introduce our kids to this beautiful part of the Boreal forest.

Quetico Provincial Park is our destination. Beautiful Boreal forest, rocks with thousands of years of history, (stay tuned for more info post trip), and so much water to swim in!
